Madchen In Uniform - White Bird |
| A tribute to a classic German film from 1931. It is considered a classic of gay cinema; but at its core is a much broader message, that of a plea for a more humane and compassionate society. It was promptly banned when Hitler came to power; although Goebbels privately expressed his admiration for the film. The film has yet to see a DVD release. I initially planned to make the entire film available but the titles were illegible once the film had been re-rendered to meet this website's filesize restrictions. However, I will make the film available to interested parties in exchange for a donation. In the meantime, I hope you will enjoy this tribute I have compiled for you. I have deliberately left out some of the most beautiful moments of this film, as I believe they should be viewed within the context of the film as a whole. The song is "White Bird" by "It's A Beautiful Day." Add me as a friend on myspace! KEEP CLASSIC ENTERTAINMENT ALIVE - go to my myspace to donate now! |

October AKA Ten Days That Shook The World [1928] |
| Maid Marian Classic Media is proud to present this Eisenstein masterpiece. This version has English language title cards and synchronized sound effects which were added by Eisenstein's assistant. Music by Dmitri Shostakovich. This film deserves the same meticulous restoration that Kino recently gave to Potemkin. I will also be presenting an alternate print of this seminal Soviet silent with the original Russian titles. Stay tuned. And don't forget to come visit the new website, www.maidmarianclassicmedia.com. |

Robin Hood [1922] |
| What more natural choice could Maid Marian make? Here is the first great action hero of the cinema - Douglas Fairbanks. He may not have been a kickboxer but he surpasses all other action stars in the class department. This particular film is very near and dear to my heart - being the very first silent film I ever remember seeing as a child. Why do you think I call myself Maid Marian? It wowed me then and it still wows me now. Directed by Allan Dwan. Also starring Wallace Beery, Alan Hale, Sam De Grasse, and Enid Bennett as the fair Lady Marian. There's also a brief appearance by director Robert Florey playing a peasant. This is what classic silent film entertainment is all about. I'd like to dedicate this movie to my friends in the Outlands Community, who gave solid support to my work when I was ready to pack it all in. Enjoy. Visit www.maidmarianclassicmedia.com |

Turkish Star Wars (1982) (eng. subtitles) |
| Turkish-made film commonly known as Turkish Star Wars because of its notorious bootlegging of Star Wars film clips worked into the film. Released in 1982, Dünyayı Kurtaran Adam was created in Turkey caught in the midst of massive political upheaval. As a result, American-made films were not easily acquired and were often remade with a Turkish cast and setting. The musical soundtrack is entirely lifted from Western film hits of the time, primarily using Raiders of the Lost Ark. There are also scenes incorporating the music of Moonraker, Flash Gordon, Battlestar Galactica, Planet of the Apes and Disney's The Black Hole. Films considered the worst ever |

A Trip to the Moon (1902) |
| "This early silent film by master artist and film pioneer Georges Melies is considered a classic by many film buffs. Although it runs for only 14 minutes this whimsical fantasy really focuses on an astronomers dream." |
